Music: Melbourne Ska Orchestra

Ska is a very different style of music. It’s the combination of a big band with jazz, blues, hip hop, pop, soul and everything in between all mashed together.

After being introduced to this style of music by L back in 2006, I’ve been on the hunt for local talent. So when the TV commercial came on using a memorable tune with a fresh twist, I knew I had to hear more from these guys.

Yes, the Ska scene is alive and well in Melbourne. I even had the pleasure of listening to them live at the Heart of St. Kilda concert at the Palais Theatre.

Heart of St Kilda festival. Cause volunteering is awesome. Great times ahead

These guys keep going from strength to strength and is definitely an underrated band. They can often be seen playing side gigs and plenty of charity events. So if you ever get the chance, you need to check them out.

Damn it, I’m going to listen to their album right now!
