You manga my day One Piece! And here’s the reason why.
Normally, when anyone tries to execute on bringing a TV series to movie or to a theme park, I find it a little underwhelming. It just never works. So when I saw this place come up on the Burgers Of Melbourne blog, then I thought I would have to go.

The first thing you notice when you walk in is the layout of the store – it definitely has the look and feel of a pirate ship. All your favourite characters are all around you.
From the chalk art on the boards at the back to the stickers along the bar, to the giant mural at the back. Even the mugs are one piece engraved.
We were lucky to sit up at the bar and watch all the drinks being made. This was my first introduction to the freakshakes but boy oh boy was it magnificent to watch it being made.
The coffee arrived and their taste was quite bitter and not something I was prepared for. I couldn’t catch the brand but it was way too bitter for my taste. Even more, it was a little too hot which meant that it wasn’t prepared well. Coffee at One Piece? Probably not.

Then the One Piece burger arrived. My gosh, that smell – it was so so mouth-watering that I could forgive them for the long delay between the coffee and the meal.

The fries were nice and crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. It was slightly seasoned that ensured you weren’t overwhelmed by the spice. The burger itself? My gosh. The bacon was soft and delectable and the lettuce crisp.
And the meat? My gosh, it just oozed with juices that had me grabbing my tissue before my teeth could meet together for the first chomp. I had to stop thinking and keep eating. The blog post could wait. The mixture of sauces with meat and the toppings, I would highly recommend coming back.

One Piece Burger pulled it off! Good work guys.
Thanks to the Burgers of Melbourne for the recommendation.
