Float Away at the Sea On Quay

I’m not one to head off to a fish and chips for dinner. But my good friend mentioned how good it was, I had to check it out. Thanks DJ!

Location

Located so close to the water, you can actually get that beachside feeling.

Food

I got the special – didn’t think too much. Man was I surprised – this place was amazing.

First of all, the fish itself, though it looked like it would be super greasy, turned out to be light and fluffy and the taste was scrumptious through and through. What was even better was the chips. You could eat that all by itself and still say you have enjoyed a beach side experience.

Cost

At the reasonable rate of $12… who could ask for any more?!

Ambiance

I loved the location and the outside eatery. In the warmer months, the outside spot is definitely the one you want.

Service

This is where they shine. First of all, they forgot about our food after we ordered it, didn’t get us cutlery but kept plying up with more wine. Now I didn’t know what was going on – so when DJ spoke up and got it sorted, the wine was complimentary and the food was even more amazing cause it was the freshest I had ever eaten.

So a slight mark, but almost inconsequential from the way they recovered.
