Tired Of Staying In Step Out Virtually

Everyone is feeling cooped in. Maybe it’s time you spread your wings a little. Here are some of the best things to visit around Melbourne right now.

Movies

Perhaps more of a social night… BUT, ACMI streams a movie every Wednesday night. Grab a few friends and hop on over.

Music

If that doesn’t tickle your fancy, then perhaps being entertained by the musos from the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra is more your thing. Lock yourself in on Thursday night at 19:30 (7:30pm) and turn up your sound. You are in for a treat!

Museums

Museums Victoria allows you to enjoy the following awesome places.

Scienceworks

Melbourne Museum

Immigration Museum

(Note to self, must go visit these in person and make a post)

NGV

Why not check out the NGV too. They have some amazing exhibitions out there. Keep an eye out on Instagram, where I will literllay post every picture I have from the Keith Harring and Basquiat exhibitions. Oh and of course… KAWS!!

Shrine of Rememberance

This one shook me to the core when I visited it, that I couldn’t bring myself to post pictures. However, with this lockdown you should visit their online portal. And for my fellow Aussie readers, remember the ANZAC Day celebration this year where we all will stand in our driveways to commemorate the event in 2020.

State Library of Victoria

La Trobe Reading Room
This has to be one of my favourite libraries in the city. When this passes, you need to go in and check it out for yourself. Till then, you can have your curiosity satisfied through their virtual offerings.

Animals

I would be lying if I haven’t already streamed the adorable animals from Zoos Victoria into my living room. Definitely one to bookmark.

Hope that’s enough for now. Next week, we will be heading overseas for their virtual tours. Till then, stay safe and stay home.

And as always –

We are in this together. We will get through this together. Have Faith.
