After going to Shandong Mama twice in one week, my work colleagues and I were wandering around for something sweet to blunt whatever was left of the appetite. (Read as, we just wanted something sweet). And that’s when we stumbled across The Lab.
Using liquid nitrogen to create the gelato is in itself amazing. Even better was watching them do it. And wow. It is a spectacle to behold in and of itself. Whilst a little pricey by my standards ($6 per cup), they definitely stuff the cup. And for that I am grateful!
They have some amazing flavours – Trimasu, Salted Caramel Popcorn (recommended by the girl behind the counter and definitely a clear winner), mango and peach, lemon lime and bitters and a couple more. Having tried out the salted caramel myself, I will definitely be going back to try more flavours.
