Thor Ragnarok Review

This is a marvel movie that you can just enjoy on it’s own. No long links, no big arcs, just simple, laugh out funny movie.

I think Taiko Watiti is literally the best thing about this movie. He infuses his indie sense of humour with a colossal franchise such as Marvel and everything is fun!

The colours, the action. It has it all.

If anything, I’d recommend checking out some of his other work to really get you going. You will not be disappointed.

From a Marvel perspective, I enjoyed the light hearted nature of the movie. If there is one thing I have learned is that the Norse Gods have a lot of family issues.

Cate Blanchett shines as Hela, the unknown first born of Odin (Anthony Hopkins). And whilst his scene was short lived and less emotional than expected, he plays the role well. Naturally Loki shines and the play dead scene will go down in one of 2017s most talked about scenes.

If you have seen the trailer, you need to check out the spoof.
Here’s the original trailer…. just in case you need to revisit it.

I recently discovered these guys and haven’t stopped laughing since.

Go check it out in the cinema, if you’re unconvinced, then perhaps on the cheaper days. But you must enjoy the experience as it’s meant to be. At the movies.
