After multiple raves about this place, I finally managed to make my way down to it. The best surprise? How close it was to One Piece Cafe. Balwyn has just raised the steaks in the burger market.
If you’ve left it too late, never fear…. I got you.
I’ve always been a fan of German food since I visited the country back in 2012. And this restaurant is the closest it comes to recreating the menu when you want to try German cuisine.
So in honour of my first visit to Germany after a long time, I’d finally pen the note about the local.
Now Shelsky’s is a place that you must visit. I loved meeting the owner and he is an over-the-top character.

Now, I’m partial to a well-made cookie and there are quite a few good ones along the way, but the thing that got me the most was the decor and the feel of the place. The vibes were homely and definitely made me feel like I went into someone’s home. The co-working space made it feel like a home office.
